Joint CSR initiatives offer companies guidance and support in developing their own CSR programs. Dialogue and learning forums introduce examples of best practices and encourage an exchange of views and experiences in this area. Corporate initiatives focus on networking and on creating new partnerships between companies and their stakeholders, for example to improve social and environmental standards. With the help of codes of conduct and voluntary commitments, such initiatives help companies meet their social responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.
The instruments used in these initiatives are voluntary and differ in their content, origin and implementation mechanisms.
